"The Omnivore's Dilemma" book you are reading is the same book I am reading in my Writing 2 class at Tennessee Tech University. The book shed some light on things I didn't know but overall the book was ok. Maybe you will like it better.
You know, I do like it, but it's definitely slow going. I have always considered myself to be a fast reader, but it's take me a while, off and on, to get through this. I've read Fast Food Nation and seen Supersize Me, I've even read other works by the author....I think the comparisons between the ways of producing and acquiring food have required more conscious thought than I might have energy for? Which I guess is one way to say that I have to be in the mood for it...like anything else. I'm curious how the book ended up in your Writing class? Was it the comparative nature?
