Sleep? Ha! Sleep is for the weak.....

....according to the Lou. Not that she has said so in those words. But despite shortened naps, despite a regular bedtime and bedtime routine, she has conked out at 10, 10:30 and last night, 11 pm. We are all tired here.

So that's where I've been. It's like I said to a friend over email yesterday- it's been the kind of busy that's nothing exciting, but eats through time until you wonder what the heck happened.

Good things: Today is my last day of work before a much-needed vacation. Yay! We head out tonight to Fryeburg ME with the Littlefield-Gouds until Sunday- planning not much more than the Fryeburg Fair tomorrow and apple picking on Sunday. Should be fun...bringing the camera.

Planning to do a few things around the house this week- rearranging some furniture, hauling some stuff to the attic, possibly replacing the back door. And relaxing, and knitting, and seeing friends (maybe even getting my hands on Amy's baby Nathan again- love that kiddo). And then a few days with my other Nason girls!

Here's the Lou:

A weird gathering of birds in the yard this week. I couldn't really get a good shot, since they heard the screen door and more or less scattered. But it was very Hitchcock: little black birds carpeting the yard, all making their strange black bird noises....maybe it was the pre-flight announcement prior to their trip south.

And a view of our couch this morning:

Man-yikes...just a thought-maybe letting her sleep in her naps for as long as she wants. I have heard that if your kid isn't sleeping well it can mean they are OVERTIRED. Which would make sense with being up that late. Who knows-just a thought. But she could be growing...Molly slept for 3 hours two days in a row and still went to bed at 8. Sleep is so tricky. Sorry to hear you are struggling. Hope the weekend is fun!

Maybe you are right. I have been going the other way (cutting the naps shorter), but that does not seem to be helping things. They are such tricky little critters, aren't they?

Man! How does she keep going? I could use some of her energy.
Hope you have a great vacation. Much deserved.
