Yikes.

Dropping the Lou off at school this morning, I saw a mom that I haven't seen around in a while. She said, "Oh, congratulations! I didn't know you were pregnant!"

Swallow. Smile. "I'm not."

"Ohh, well, no, I mean you look great. I just saw your tote bag and from that angle it looked like..."

Deep breath. "It's ok."

She felt bad; I think I am more amused than anything else. But still. You know?

When will people EVER learn that is just not a good thing to say UNLESS you know it to be TRUE!!! That is when it is a GOOD idea to talk about someone behind their back, right?!

I have had it said to me TWICE!
Love ya!

I know! I would be mortified if it were me that had said it...and it's not like I'm still carrying baby weight as I walk along attached to my almost-3 year old.
At least I am not alone. :)

Gah.

The lady who did our life insurance review congratulated me on expecting. I'm assuming it was because I have a belly and haven't ever gotten over standing with my hands on my lower back, but still.

Those moments are so awkward. Many sympathies! And you do NOT look pregnant in the photos on here. And I know because I just looked at all of them.
